This will be a 1 day course where you will learn how to accurately assess your respiratory patients. We will cover Inspection, Palpation, Percussion and Auscultation.
With a focus on auscultation, your trainer will go through most of the normal and abnormal chest sounds that you can encounter in primary care. A not to be missed clinical update!
This course is suitable for registered healthcare practitioners.
Manny is a Spanish nurse qualified in 2010 from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (Madrid), developing an early passion for Emergency Medicine. He holds a Masters in Accident, Emergency and Critical Care, including specialist training in critical care transport. In the UK, he completed a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice with Non-Medical Prescribing (V300).
Manny currently works as a Senior Lecturer-Practitioner and Clinical Skills Lead for Medicine at a local university, where he has taught across the ACP programme and led the Minor Illness module. He is also a National OSCE Examiner for Physician Associates and practices as an Emergency Department nurse and trainee ACP at Mid-Essex Hospital Trust.
He also holds HEMS Specialist and Flight Nurse (FWAA) qualifications, ALS and pATLS certifications, and has completed over 2,000 hours of CPD. Manny delivers short CPD courses on ECG interpretation, BLS, and minor illness and injury management.
