About

The Women's Health Study Day is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills in various aspects of women's health. Delivered by three experienced specialist nurses, this course covers critical topics including menstrual problems, menopause, contraceptive counselling, preconception care, breast pain assessment, and STI/HIV screening.

Course Objectives

By the end of this study day, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the assessment and treatment options for heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB), endometriosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
  • Conduct comprehensive menopause assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide effective contraceptive counselling tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Offer preconception care to optimize health outcomes for both mother and baby.
  • Assess and manage breast pain with appropriate care strategies.
  • Conduct thorough screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV, and provide relevant patient education.
