Due to a high volume of requests, Pfizer is excited to offer this free-to-attend educational update focusing on migraine treatment in primary care.
In the UK, approximately 26% of individuals aged 15-49 experience migraines (Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation, GBD Results Tool, 2019). With current neurology wait times at Mid & South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSE NHS FT) wait times are reporting to be 17 weeks July 2024 (Waiting Lists, Patientlibrary.net),therefore primary care has become the primary access point for patient treatment.
Dr. Sanjeev Rana, Regional Medical Director for Essex overseeing IUC across MSE, GP, and GPwER, and Dr. Barry Evans, Consultant in Acute Medicine and Headache & Migraine Clinic Lead at Broomfield Hospital, MSE NHS FT, will present updates on recent developments and pathways for migraine management. Their presentations aim to equip clinicians with the knowledge to effectively treat patients in primary care, ultimately helping to alleviate capacity issues in both primary and secondary care settings.
