Having a robust lease agreement is critical for creating certainty on the terms upon which you occupy your leasehold practice premises. In this session we will run through the top tips when it comes to entering a lease and consider the options available when it comes to handling those lease agreements (including dilapidations and disputed service charges/ debts) on the retirement of partners.
This session is a must for anyone that has entered, or is considering entering into, a lease. From considering repairing obligations, break clauses, rents that are payable (both initial rents and on a review), service charge provisions and your ability to share and assign the lease, this will give you the tools required to understand the key legal and practical points and protect you and your successors.
