Donna Smy joined Palmers Solicitors in May 2019 as a partner in the Wills and Probate department, based at our offices in Basildon before becoming a department director in 2021. She has particular expertise in matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Enduring Powers of Attorney, General Powers of Attorney, Administration of Estates, Court of Protection applications, Declarations of Trust and the creation, termination and management of trusts. Donna works with a range of clients, including private individuals, business clients considering succession within their Wills, farming clients considering the best way to deal with agricultural assets within their Wills and attorneys, deputies, trustees and executors. Donna trained and qualified with Palmers Solicitors in September 2008. She then joined another Essex-based law firm in 2012, before becoming Head of Wills and Probate and a salaried Partner there. Along with other members of the Wills and Probate department, Donna is a Dementia Friend. Away from the office, Donna loves to bake, especially with her young twins.
